Free-range birds are thought to produce tastier meat due to the idea that free-range turkeys grow more slowly, meaning they have more flavour, more muscle fat, and a better firmer meat texture. Turkey is a lean protein source rich in essential amino acids. It is also low in fat and a good source of essential nutrients such as riboflavin, potassium and selenium.
